Ambassador Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe presents letters of credence to the president of the republic of Macedonia
H.E. Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, on Thursday, 31st August, 2006, presented his Letters of Accreditation to the President of the Republic of Macedonia, His Excellency Mr. Branko Crvenkovski.
Ambassador Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe who is also accredited to the Republics of Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, held fruitful deliberations with His Excellency Mr. Crvenkovski, bothering on bilateral and multilateral issues. These, include the deepening of relations between Ghana and Macedonia in the social, economic and political fronts, as well as the cooperation in the field of agriculture which is Ghana’s main stain. They also agreed in principle for the signing of various Protocols between Ghana and Macedonia which could serve as a catalyst for enhanced cooperation between the two countries, aside of linking the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries to lay the foundation for any meaningful economic/trade cooperation.
Both His Excellency Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe and President Crvenkovski expressed the existence of the political will and commitment to meeting the agreed objectives and looked forward to enhanced fruitful cooperation between Ghana and Macedonia.
Earlier on 30th August, 2006, His Excellency Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe had met the Macedonian Foreign Minister, His Excellency Mr. Antonio Milososki, who assumed office two days earlier, to present his Open Letters of Credence.
The Foreign Minister congratulated H.E. Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe on his accreditation, and Ghana as well for her increasingly influential role in world affairs, particularly at the United Nations. He admitted that Macedonia viewed Ghana as a role model in the international arena considering Ghana’s immense experience and influential role in international relations.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, expressed delight at his presence in Skopje, Macedonia, to present himself to the host authorities. He assured the Foreign Minister of his determination and commitment to working closely, with members of the government and the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia for enhanced economic cooperation between the two countries.
Later in the day, H.E. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe met with Mr. Paskal Stojcevski, Head of Sector for Bilateral Relations with Non-European Countries. Their discussions, as before, centered on bilateral relations and cooperation at the multilateral level.
