Meeting between H.E. DR. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe and mr. Vladimir Stojiljkovic, manager for flood operations of the international federation of red cross and red crescent societies (IFRCRS), at the chancery, on tuesday, 6. november, 2007 at 11:00 hrs
His Excellency Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe on Tuesday, 5 November, 2007 at 11:00 hrs granted audience to Mr. Vladimir Stojiljkovic, Manager for Flood Operations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRCRCS).
After exchange of pleasantries, His Excellency indicated that, after receiving a letter from the IFRCRCS in Geneva regarding Mr. Stojiljkovic’s visa application, he decided to meet him before his departure for Ghana for discussions on the floods issue.
Reacting, Mr. Stojiljkovic stated that his mission in Ghana was to guide the operations of the IFRCRCS in their effort to assist the Ghana Red Cross to handle the recent floods in the Northern Region of Ghana. He, however, added that he would have a proper briefing on the operation on his arrival in Accra.
Continuing, Mr. Stojiljkovic mentioned that this would be a joint action between the IFRCRCS and the Ghana Red Cross which is aimed at building up the services of the Red Cross in Ghana. He further indicated that a lot of volunteers would be needed for the operation.
Meanwhile, His Excellency the Ambassador wished Mr. Stojiljkovic a pleasant stay in Ghana and indicated that his visit to Ghana would give him the opportunity to experience the rich traditional Ghanaian hospitality. His Excellency expressed his desire to meet Mr. Stojiljkovic on his return from Ghana.
